At King Solutions, there are a few things we value more than anything: our partners, clients and employees, and the environment. Just how much do we value these things? We can sit around all day telling you just how much, but we’d rather let our accomplishments do the talking.
We recently took a look back at our numbers and awards in 2016. Some of the awards we were so humbled to receive included being named a “Top 2016 Workplace” by the Star Tribune and a 2016 “Minnesota Business Ethics Award” (no other supply chain companies won in the 100-500 category).
Everything we do is rooted in the respect we have for our partners, the appreciation we have for our employee and the loyalty we have to our customers. But we also a deep care and respect for the environment, which is why we are so happy to announce that Hennepin County recognized King Solutions as a 2017 Wellness by Design Gold +Green winner.
About the award
The Wellness by Design Gold +Green award is given to companies who take a leadership role in creating a work culture and environment that supports employee health. The “+Green” recognition is given to companies who put their best foot forward in reducing their impact on the environment.
Wellness and sustainability at King
We do our absolute best to promote healthy living and environmental sustainability in our office. From stand-up desks to healthy food choices at our meetings, we are committed to keeping our employees healthy and happy. We also offer a health plan that includes reimbursements for health clubs and sponsorships for employees who participate in a variety of races and events.
When it comes to being eco-friendly, we have implemented automatic lights that switch off when rooms aren’t in use, cut back on plastic and paper usage and provided plenty of opportunities for employees to recycle. These are all a part of the ThingKING Green program we started in 2012.
Three times a charm
This is the third time King has been recognized for this award, which is given every two years. We were recognized in 2015 and in 2013, and we are pleased to once again receive this recognition by Hennepin County.
Some of our team members will be attending the awards ceremony on Thursday, June 22nd, and we look forward to continuing our commitment to our employees, our environment and everyone we work with and serve.
