Twin Cities nonprofit disability organization Opportunity Partners will award King Solutions, Inc. the Laura Zemlin Employer of the Year award at “Celebrate Opportunity: An Executive Networking and Business Recognition Luncheon” on February 26, 2014. King is being recognized for showing “extensive leadership in providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities”.
King Solutions began partnering with Opportunity Partners in April of 2013. Two people served by Opportunity Partners started out cleaning our administrative building two days per week and assisting with special projects on an as needed basis. Pleased with their work, we asked them to assist in cleaning our Rogers location as well as our warehouse. This allowed the employees to add an additional day to their time working at King Solutions.
The Laura Zemlin Employer of the Year award is named after Opportunity Partners’ first executive director who was a strong advocate for employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Purchase tickets to the upcoming event held on February 26th by clicking here.
